Papao, with her beauty and dedication, steps into this role with a mission to inspire and support change. As a Friend of UNFPA, she is committed to supporting the work of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to ensure no one is left behind.
UNFPA Laos celebrated her appointment on their official Facebook page, stating: “UNFPA is delighted to welcome Ms. Universe Laos 2023, Papao Channel, as the first Friend of UNFPA in #LaoPDR. With her voice and commitment, Papao supports efforts to promote youth empowerment, gender equality, rights, and choices for all.”
UNFPA, a United Nations agency, focuses on promoting health and reproductive rights. Friends of UNFPA, a non-profit organization established in 1998 in New York, USA, supports UNFPA’s work. Their mission includes reducing maternal mortality, providing family planning services, ending gender-based violence, and combating harmful practices against women and children.
Papao has previously used her Miss Universe Laos platform to share Laos’ stories and advocate for positive social change.
