Congratulations to Lattana Munvilay, also known as Daeng, for winning the title of Miss Universe Laos 2025! Throughout the competition, her confidence, determination, and outstanding attitude in various rounds—including the grueling final stages—shone through, ultimately earning her the highly coveted crown.
The final round demanded a combination of a striking personality and the ability to answer questions from the top 5 and top 3 finalists. All of these qualities led the judges to unanimously select Daeng as the new representative of Laos.
An Impressive Educational Background
Daeng – Lattana Manvilay is a young woman from Salavan province, where she was born and raised in the village of Nalek, Salavan district. Beyond her unique beauty, she is also a dedicated scholar.
Daeng completed her high school education at Vientiane High School with a scholarship from Kumamoto. She then pursued her bachelor’s degree in the Department of Architecture at the National University of Laos, earning a scholarship from AUSAID. This demonstrates her strong commitment and aptitude for education.

A Career in Modeling and Entertainment
This isn’t Daeng’s first time on the pageant stage. She began her modeling career in 2017 and has been active in the industry ever since. Previously, she was crowned second runner-up in Miss Universe Laos in both 2019 and 2022, showcasing her unyielding determination.
Beyond pageantry, Daeng has experience in other entertainment fields. She starred in the film The Long Walk, directed by Mattie Do. The film was the first from Laos to be featured on a global platform, Netflix. Her diverse experience also led her to become a Mentor on The Wow Laos Season 2.
Goals and Future Aspirations
Although she loves working in the entertainment industry, Daeng’s primary goal is to lead her own design company to become one of the top firms in the country. She also dreams of using her architectural skills to contribute to the development of her community and the nation.
Daeng acknowledges that a major challenge for her is balancing the creative and intellectual demands of architecture with the fast-paced, often contradictory nature of the entertainment industry. However, she views this as an opportunity for continuous self-improvement and embraces both fields with passion.

The Next Step: Miss Universe 2025
Later this year, Lattana Munvilay will represent Laos at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand, where she will compete with beautiful women from over 90 countries for the crown. The winner will be crowned by Victoria Kjær Theilvig of Denmark, the reigning Miss Universe 2024. Let’s all cheer on Daeng as she aims to bring pride and recognition to Laos on the global stage.
