From the wide-open steppes of Kazakhstan to the vibrant streets of Vientiane, Dias Paragon is a rising model whose journey is defined by his passion for new experiences and his uniquely positive energy. At just 21, Dias is not only building a career in front of the camera but is also deeply connecting with the culture of his new home.

Dias Aubakir Born in Kazakhstan, the 21-year-old model introduces himself simply as Dias. However, his stage name, Dias Paragon, holds a powerful personal meaning.

“The Immortals from my favorite novel received this title when they achieved high mastery, so I am manifesting this,” he explains, making it clear his inspiration lies far from the world of luxury shopping malls.

Dias is instantly recognizable to those around him for his vibrant personality. He describes his signature trait as having “crazy kid energy.”

“People in Laos love drinking and dancing, but I don’t need to drink. I just dance,” he says, highlighting a naturally exhilarating spirit that lights up a room—or a photoshoot set.

Before becoming the dynamic figure we see today, Dias’s life felt like a grind: “Life felt like a crazy amount of work that I don’t like.” His solution was drastic and inspiring: he left his country to travel the world.

This journey is how he “opened Laos” for himself.

“I met so many friends here. I’m happy,” he shares, reflecting on his decision to settle and pursue his career in the region.

When he’s not working, Dias embraces the simple joy of discovery in Vientiane. His favorite way to feel like “the real me” is to run on the new BRT lines during the day when there are no cars. “I feel like they built a road specially for me,” he laughs.

For Dias, acting and modeling are more than just creative pursuits—they are vehicles for exploration.

“I want to live many different lives,” he states. “For now, I want to understand how Lao people live, how they think. I live near the local people, I always talk with my friends, so acting and modeling is just the fastest way to have different experiences.”

His main priority when working creatively is always to deliver positive emotions, aligning with his personal belief and goal to “make people feel good.” This positive outlook is what helps him overcome obstacles, such as the intense heat of outdoor shoots in Laos.

“It’s a hot country for me,” he admits. “But then I realize that it’s not even a challenge. ‘It’s an opportunity that was given to me.’ It gives me so much power.”

Among his past work, he is most fond of the C-vitt dance competition event, where he was thrilled to meet “so much talented young people in one place.”

Looking ahead, Dias has clear goals for his path to mastery:

• TV Series Star: He aims to be starring in TV series.
• Language Fluency: He will be fluent and “speak Lao and Thai language very clearly.”

In terms of new projects, he harbors a specific ambition: “I want to be an actor for Aluna Thavonsouk’s MV. I hope it will happen soon.”

Ultimately, Dias wants the public to feel excitement when they experience his work. “I hope people will be excited how many different things we can do in this life,” he says.

For aspiring models and creators, his advice is to find a role model and stay close to them, crediting his agency, Firstmodelinglao, for sharing wisdom. “And last one – believe in yourself, you can do anything.”
